Carl M. Felice IV joined our team in 2025, bringing with him a strong background in public sector law and trial advocacy. Prior to joining the firm, Carl served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. During his time there, he managed a demanding felony caseload, tried over twenty cases, and argued cases before the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Carl also spent time as an Assistant Law Director with the City of Parma, Ohio, where he handled a wide range of legal matters, including litigation management, claims assessment, liability insurance, and legislative drafting.
Carl’s practice areas include general civil litigation, traffic/criminal defense, insurance law, faulty home construction work & contractor negligence, Consumer Sales Practices Act violations, public sector and municipal law, and expungements/sealing of records. Carl also serves as the Chief Prosecutor and Assistant Law Director for the City of Oberlin, Ohio. Carl’s experience as both a state and municipal prosecutor gives him a competitive advantage in the courtroom, and his knowledge of the justice system gives him a unique perspective that allows him to obtain favorable results for his clients.
A significant part of Carl’s practice is insurance law, with an emphasis on breach of contract and bad faith claims in the property damage context. Carl represents individuals and entities in actions against their insurance carriers when those carriers fail to fulfill their contractual obligations or fail to uphold the duty of good faith that Ohio law imposes on them. When an unexpected event such as severe weather, vandalism, or negligence occurs and causes property damage, the property owner turns to their insurance carrier for help. Regrettably, the insurance companies often become part of the problem, and make matters worse by unreasonably delaying payments, failing to conduct adequate investigations, offering unreasonably low claim settlements, or flat-out denying coverage entirely. Carl fights for property owners to ensure they receive every benefit that they are entitled to from their insurance carriers.
Carl’s approach is marked by thoughtful analysis, clarity in communication, and a firm commitment to hard work and results.
